This 2-hour, 2 km walking tour takes you from the stables to the library, the Charlois cupola and the lunette coudée, before reaching the Grande Coupole at the summit of Mont-Gros.

Discover the historic buildings erected by architect Charles Garnier and how Gustave Eiffel became involved in the construction of the Grande Coupole at the request of Nice Observatory patron Raphaël Bischoffsheim. At the end of the XIXᵉ century, the Observatoire de Nice was the first in Europe to be designed in its entirety exclusively for astronomical research. You'll explore how the architecture of its buildings was adapted to the scientific instruments they contain, and what major discoveries have marked its history. The Mont Gros site is a protected natural area managed by CEN PACA. The dominant position of this forest park makes it the most beautiful balcony overlooking the Bay of Angels and the Côte d'Azur.
