Description
“An original production—everything is precise, demanding, and focused. Breathtaking!” Parallèle Sud
The Child lives at the foot of the Tree. The Tree watches over him, feeds him, and protects him. The Child also takes care of the Tree. Everything seems destined to go on forever… But one fateful day, the Tree can no longer find water in the depths of the Earth. It loses its leaves. It is going to die. And so will the Child. The Child must set out to find water…
Thus begins a wild adventure in an exhilarating and bewildering world: our own.
Through this poetic, philosophical, ecological, and humorous tale, the Lé LA Company once again examines our society. Like a modern-day Candide, the
young character casts a naive and benevolent gaze upon its workings and paradoxes. Why do we have to work and get dressed? Why is water only found at the tap? Why do some have access to it and others don’t? Why does materialism take the place of dreams? These are all questions that our young hero’s innocence will grapple with, leading him on a quest to discover his own humanity.
