Description
*La Meravihouso Vihado* is a three-act play, performed in both song and spoken dialogue in Provençal. It was written in 1942 by the Saint-Tropez poet Charles MARTIN and was first performed for the public by the Rampèu de Sant-Troupès in 1956.
Since then, her characters—resembling the clay figurines in our nativity scenes—have come to life, as if touched by a divine hand, to help us relive that wonderful Christmas Eve in Provence.
It is traditionally performed during the “calendale” season, on Candlemas.
