Theater - "The Mousetrap"

The Comédie des Remparts in Antibes presents “The Mousetrap,” a comedy set against the backdrop of a police investigation, based on the Agatha Christie novel and directed by Isabelle Servol. London, 1950. A murder has just been committed on Culver Street. As the investigation begins, a young couple, Mollie and Gilles Ralston, open their boarding house, the “Monkswell Manor,” nestled in the London suburbs. An isolated manor, newly opened, swept by a snowstorm. The roads become impassable, and soon a group of boarders finds itself trapped there. Each character, finely drawn, arouses doubt and mistrust. Innocence is never a given; suspicion takes hold. The Ralstons find themselves stranded with their five boarders: the detestable Mrs. Boyle, the mischievous Christopher Wren, the rigid Major Metcalf, the mysterious Miss Casewell, and the eccentric Mr. Paravicini. The murderer is there, lurking in the shadows… in more than 20 plays, including those she has directed for Grain de Scène.
