The Théâtre de la Cité is located right in the city center, at 3 Rue Paganini in the musicians’ neighborhood. It’s a working-class, cosmopolitan neighborhood, and the theater has found its place right at its heart. The program gives children center stage.

Perhaps it’s time to turn your gaze toward hope. Not with the passive gaze of an admiring onlooker… no! A purposeful gaze that seeks to build a world—right in the midst of the world—that seeks to grasp this hope and turn it into a concrete, determined life. The Théâtre de la Cité is merely a beautiful pretext. It is a place of connection where shared experiences can take root. There, in the immense diversity of its programming, you’ll find every reason to laugh, to cry, to feel alive, and to feel deeply human. So, if you’re not quite the dreamer to sit on the moon, we’ve tried to bring it down on certain evenings, to place it on stage, in the hearts of the artists, just to let you see the world from a little higher up. It’s up to you to take this emotion you’ve gathered and share it in your everyday life, because you’ll have come to understand that it may be the only treasure we have—and the one that binds us all together: our humanity.
