The Théâtre National, Centre Dramatique Nice Côte d'Azur: a theatre open to the city.
The Théâtre National de Nice welcomes you to two separate locations, each featuring a new venue:
> The Salle des Franciscains, a former 13th-century church that houses the Théâtre National de Nice’s smaller auditorium in the heart of Old Nice.
> The Salle de La Cuisine, located west of downtown, is the main auditorium of the Théâtre National de Nice, situated in a rapidly developing area.
A variety of venues for a diverse range of artistic offerings. The theater season runs from October to June.
The Théâtre National de Nice also offers free weekly events: the Trials of Famous Figures (every Saturday at 11 a.m. on the Parvis des Franciscains) and Literary Thursdays (every Thursday at 7 p.m. at the bar-restaurant in the Salle des Franciscains).
Each season, in addition to the regular program, two highlights punctuate the season: the Festival of Magic (spring) and the Festival of Tragedies (summer).
To close out the theater season, Les Contes d'apéro bring the green corridor to life every evening at 7 p.m. during the summer season.
