Come and discover the mysteries of solar and lunar eclipses during two exciting days organised by the Atelier Buissonnier association. Talks, an exhibition, screenings and a writing workshop await you at the Salle Cassin in La Londe-les-Maures.
On 10 and 11 August, the Atelier Buissonnier association invites you to explore the fascinating phenomenon of eclipses through a varied programme suitable for all.
On Monday 10 August, discover the exhibition dedicated to solar and lunar eclipses and the Saros cycle.
At 3 pm, watch the screening of the film recounting the 1973 eclipse.
At 9.00 pm, a talk entitled ‘Light and Shadow: Occultations and Eclipses, and Why They Matter’ will help you gain a better understanding of these astronomical phenomena.
On Tuesday 11 August, enjoy a full day of activities from 9.00 am to 10.45 pm: self-guided or guided tours of the exhibition, screenings and presentations on the 1973 eclipse (at 10.00 am and 3.00 pm), a writing workshop at 12 noon, before rounding off the day with a talk at 9 pm on the major astronomical events expected between 2026 and 2029.
