A legendary distance, the 100M will start in Auron and reach the highest point of the course at an altitude of over 2,650 meters: the Rabuons and its unique rocky landscapes. As you continue toward Colle Longue, you’ll skirt the Italian Piedmont before plunging into a wild and technical descent, tailor-made for lovers of the great outdoors. You’ll then traverse chestnut forests and cross the sparkling meanders of the Tinée River. The wonders of the Mercantour Massif will then reveal themselves, followed by an aerial stretch along stunning ridges at over 2,000 meters in elevation! Heading due south: a transition to gentler, more Mediterranean landscapes, where the light changes and the air grows warmer. The finale will live up to the adventure: the four peaks—Leuze, Vinaigrier, Alban, and Boron—will test your last reserves of strength and suddenly bring you face-to-face with the sea in a striking contrast. All that will be left is to savor the final meters along the coast, until you reach the legendary Promenade des Anglais. Starting on Friday, September 25, from the resort of Auron for the “100M” course—159 km and 8,200 m of elevation gain+  A legendary distance, the 100-mile race will start from Auron at 1:00 p.m.—with a scheduled pass through the village of St. Etienne de Tinée starting at 1:40 p.m.—and will quickly reach the course’s highest point at over 2,650 meters in elevation: the Rabuons. You’ll have the chance to run alongside the marvels of the Mercantour Massif, then traverse beautiful ridges at the halfway point at an altitude of over 2,000 meters, with an estimated arrival as early as 2:55 p.m. at the Rabuons refuge. The final stretch along the coast will take you to the much-coveted finish line in Nice, on the Promenade des Anglais, as early as Saturday, September 26, around 9:45 a.m., and no later than Sunday, September 27, around 3:15 p.m.! Maximum time: 50 hours!
