Description
Seven characters are trapped in a strange waiting room. Fragile, terrible, funny and deeply engaging, they sing and dance frenetically, despite their many misadventures.
Macha Makeïeff knows the delicate art of making the unspoken heard. In silence, she reveals the secret thoughts of the people she invites on stage. She opens the doors to their solitudes and draws us into the troubling territories of their imaginations. For her, theater becomes a place for inner listening.
After presenting several major plays from the repertory at the TNN, Macha Makeïeff returns with a creation of a completely different kind: Zone d'attente. In it, she unfolds a minimalist, rhythmic tragi-comic fresco, true to her taste for burlesque and music hall. Here, there are few words: everything is done through bodies, gestures, pantomime and acting. Somewhere between silent cinema and Commedia dell'arte, the director composes a burlesque comedy in which we laugh heartily at the clumsiness and chaos unfolding before our eyes.
With Lucas Hérault, Hervé Lassïnce, Xaverine Lefebvre, Anthony Moudir, Pascal Ternisien [cast to be confirmed].
