The Ducroux Legacy

The Macaron de Nice: a symbol of family expertise

In 1993, in the heart of Nice, master pastry chef François Ducroux and his wife Gabriela created a speciality that has since become iconic: the Macaron de Nice. They devised a traditional-style macaron with a soft centre, combining the sweetness of almonds with the iconic flavours of the Côte d’Azur: lemon, orange and violet.

Over the years, this creation has become the family business’s signature. Gabriela designed the first presentation boxes and chose to feature their daughter Anna, dressed in traditional Niçois costume.

Today, their son Maxime Ducroux carries on this legacy through Maison Ducroux, remaining faithful to the original recipe devised by his parents.
Handcrafted in Nice, the Macaron de Nice is naturally gluten-free, lactose-free and alcohol-free.

More than just a speciality, it embodies over thirty years of passion, family tradition and artisanal expertise.
Welcome to the world of Maison Ducroux.

“Collaborating with the CÔTE D’AZUR FRANCE brand is a natural choice for Maison Ducroux. Since 1993, our family has been carrying on the artisanal tradition of the Macaron de Nice in Nice, a traditional almond speciality deeply rooted in our region.
With this limited edition, we wanted to bring together four flavours that each tell their own story of the Côte d’Azur: almond, violet, lemon and orange. For us, this collaboration is a wonderful way to introduce both visitors and the people of Nice to our expertise, and to allow them to take home a truly delicious souvenir of the Côte d’Azur.”
