On the Côte d'Azur starred restaurant route

The birthplace ofAuguste Escoffier, a historic figure in French haute cuisine, the Côte d’Azur is one of the world’s most gourmet and creative destinations. The shower of stars that covers the Côte d’Azur’s tables salutes the great talent and inventiveness of the chefs who continue to dazzle gourmets the world over. By 2025, the Côte d’Azur boasted 34 starred restaurants. Following in the footsteps of Auguste Escoffier, the greatest names in French gastronomy have made the Côte d’Azur their home base. Virginie Basselot, Mauro Colagreco, Alain Llorca, Marcel Ravin, Bruno Oger, Alain Ducasse… many of them have made Côte d’Azur gastronomy their home.

THE STARS OF THE CÔTE D’AZUR… HONOR LOCAL RESTAURANTS!

Did you know? It’s not just the sun that shines in the Côte d’Azur sky…

It’s also full of stars, awarded each year by the Michelin Guide to the very best in French gastronomy. Previous editions have honored nearly forty Côte d’Azur restaurants. Among them in 2025, Les Ambassadeurs by Christophe Cussac in Monaco continues to shine with two Michelin stars, crowning the exceptional experience offered by the Chef and his team. Rooted in gastronomic tradition, veteran Chef Cussac seeks to restore the perfection of gesture and the simplicity of the plate, having directed starred establishments such as theHôtel Métropole Monte-Carlo since 2004.

Six new restaurants have distinguished themselves in 2025 by earning their first Michelin star: La Flibuste in Villeneuve-Loubet, offering refined Mediterranean cuisine; L’Arazur in Antibes, offering an inventive, local gastronomic experience; La Palme d’Or in Cannes; l’Auberge Quintessence in Roubion; Mareluna in Théoule-sur-Mer; and Elsa in Roquebrune-Cap-Martin. These addresses join the ranks of already starred establishments, confirming the culinary richness of the Côte d’Azur.
Monaco also stands out with L’Abysse Monte-Carlo, awarded its second star in recognition of the excellence and innovation of its cuisine.

TALENT AND CREATIVITY: GASTRONOMY IN THE SPOTLIGHT ON THE CÔTE D’AZUR!

Perched on the slopes of La Colle-sur-Loup on the Côte d’Azur at the entrance to Saint-Paul de Vence, the horizon plunging into the Mediterranean, bathed in light, in the heart of the olive groves and vineyards of eternal Provence, unveils the Michelin-starred Restaurant Alain Llorca.

Authentic and mineral, the bastide welcomes you as it opens onto the surrounding countryside and the village of Saint Paul de Vence. The chef invites you to come and share a moment of pleasure and conviviality, as a couple or with friends. An ode to the sea and its iodized flavors, a celebration of local produce, creations imbued with the Mediterranean and respectful of the seasons, Alain Llorca’s menu is a true invitation to delight the taste buds.

The famous Louis XV – Alain Ducasse restaurant, which boasts three Michelin stars, remains one of Monaco’s top addresses, located in the famous Hôtel de Paris. It was here, in 1990, that the Alain Ducasse saga began!

MACARONS AND FIVE-STAR HOTELS

The Hôtel de Paris is not the only Côte d’Azur palace to have seduced Michelin inspectors.

TheHermitage (Le Pavyllon Monte-Carlo), the Monte-Carlo Bay (Blue Bay) and theHôtel Métropole Monte-Carlo (Les Ambassadeurs by Christophe Cussac) also feature on the famous guide’s list.
